Hello my lovely people!
Back again eh for another blog post!
Let the beauty flow through you
Today’s review will be about a mask
Something that has to do with the color black and fire
Can you guess what it is?
Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask!
It comes in a tube that contains 100ml of product and the recommended shelf life is 24 months
However, I am aware that there is a smaller version available for purchase
50ml if I am not mistaken
I got this at Parkson Pavilion for RM110
The description from the Origins website and on the bottle:
When environmental toxins, dirt and debris get under your skin, its waste-filtering system gets jammed, pores get clogged, skin looks cloudy. Nature’s complexion clean-up crew gets to the bottom of skins overcast condition and clears the way for it to act its best. Activated Charcoal acts like a magnet to draw out deep-dwelling pore-cloggers, White China Clay absorbs environmental toxins, Lecithin dissolves impurities. Without all that “stuff” down there, skin “breathes a sigh of relief.”
According to Origins, this is one of their best selling items
So I thought why not try this out and have my skin experience it?
So our skin is suppose to feel this way?
Just like after having an orgasm?
HOW TO USE: Once a week or as often as needed, open pores with warm, moist towel and layer mask on. Allow to dry, rinse well. Watch your skin shake off the shroud of dullness and take on a new clarity.
You know the descrtiption somehow reminds me of a dog drying itself because it said shake off the shroud of dullness and take on a new clarity
Come let’s do it together
*shake shake shake shake*
This is the ingredients list
Notable Ingredients include:
Kaolin, Glycerin, Myrtle Leaf Water and Lecithin.
This is the cap of the product
The first time when you buy it, it will be sealed with a sticker
Once you open the cap you will be greeted with the standard tube type of opening where you will squeeze out the product for usage
However, with this product, there is no seal on the opening of the bottle like other products
You know the silver sticker that you peel off when you first buy a product
This product doesn’t have that
So that is something to bear in mind if you choose to purchase this
So this is my face before applying the mask
I just got out from a hot shower so my pores are expanded and is suitable for applying the mask
I have not toned or moisturised my face with any product
This is my bare face without anything
You can see that I have really big pores especially around my T-zone and my cheeks
Let’s see how does this mask perform shall we?
This is how the mask looks like
It looks like black clay suspended in glycerin and it feels the same way as well
The smell of it is close to none
I cannot detect any offending or pleasing scent from it
So for those who is sensitive to fragrances, you may want to try this
Applying the mask to my bare face with my fingers
I think using your fingers is the best way to apply this mask
Unless you’re really scared of germs and bacteria then you can use a sterile brush or spatula
This is how the mask sits on the face
I just apply a thin layer because that what Origins recommended how to use it
I feel that it tightens around the 8-minute mark and I can feel it drying quickly on my skin especially around my T-zone.
This is my face after the mask
My face feels firmer and tighter and the pores around my face have shrunk and look cleaner
The ones on my nose have a significant difference
Some have shrunk till you can’t see the pores with the naked eye and some have shrunk down in size
My face also looks brighter and clearer with more clarity
I have been using this for about 2 weeks now every 5 days and I think that this is a good product for those who have enlarged pores and dull skin
However I think for drier skin you should look elsewhere and use your money there
Yes I know the price tag is a bit high but I think the investment is worth it
Highly recommend this
A pore de-clogging and brightening mask suitable for normal to oily skins. Highly recommend this to try out.
That’s all for today
