Product Review: Laura Mercier Silk Creme Oil Free Photo Edition Foundation
Hello my lovely people!
Today I’m coming here with a foundation review for you guys!
As most of you know
I am a huge foundation junkie!
I love my foundations! I would go out and look for new foundations that come out and just buy them to test them out because let’s be real here
Everyone’s skin is different!
Products always work different for everyone due to many factors!
But I digress
Today’s review will be about…
There is actually two versions of this foundation. The other is called…
Silk Creme Moisturizing Photo Edition Foundation
I got this in the shade Ivory
The woes of being fair
I noticed that the shades that are available are a bit weird
So please do go to a counter and test them out! Plus they have a whole bunch of shades so that’s always a plus there
I got this for RM 189 which includes GST
The ingredients are as follow:
Cyclopentasiloxane, Aqua/Water/Eau, Phenyl Trimethicone, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Peg-12 Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Silica Dimethicone Silylate, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Isononyl Isononanoate, Polysilicone-11, Dimethicone, Magnesium Sulfate, Mica, Caprylyl Glycol, Trihydroxystearin, Diisopropyl Dimer Dilinoleate, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate, C30-45 Alkyl Cetearyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Caprylohydroxamic Acid, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Serica/Silk Powder/Poudre De Soie, Saccharomyces/Xylinum/Black Tea Ferment, Hydroxyethylcellulose. May Contain/Peut Contenir/(+/-): Ci 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499 (Iron Oxides).
This is how the bottle looks like
I like it
One thing though
Due to the finish of the product, it easily gets dirty and would need you to clean your hands if you don’t want it to look gross
If it doesn’t bother then just ignore it
Some things bother me more than others
One other thing is the above
It’s sleek, light and easy to travel with
The instructions said to shake well before using and apply a small amount with a sponge. Blend gently into skin for a flawless, natural matte finish
The way I use it with is with a brush not a sponge. It still does give great coverage and does not affect the product. You can also use a beauty blender with this products
Just be sure to wet the sponge first before using
The packaging contain 30ml of product which is the standard amount of foundations in the market
You dispense the foundation with the opening here
It gives you the ability to control the amount of product you want and if you want more you can do so
This is how the product looks like
Consistency wise is a basic liquid which is more on the creamy side
The foundation does not slide down my hand
For this foundation
A little goes a long way, which is good!
I don’t wanna be using lots of product to cover my face and have an even skintone!
The coverage I would say would be a medium to full coverage
You can build it up on certain areas but that’s what concealer is for unless you’re on a tight budget
Then again you be buying this foundation if that’s the case
The photo above is into the 5 hours mark
The oil control is normal, my Tzone is always the first to get oily
This foundation lasted me on about 9 hours before wearing off
Which considers really good despite my oily skin
Despite it giving a matte finish which they claim I would suggest you always powder your foundations
I know I always do
It helps your foundation to stay throughout the day
A great foundation for those who have oily skin. Those with oily skin please use the other foundation and do let me know what do you think of it! I actually do recommend this foundation!
That’s all for today
