Product Review: Laura Mercier Enlightenment Eye & Cheek Palette

HELLO!
And welcome to another segment of Evan’s life!
Where you can see the mischief that he has been up to lately!

Today we will be looking at a limited edition palette that the little jerk bought from Laura Mercier’s Spring Collection

It is the..

Laura Mercier Enlightenment Eye & Cheek Palette

With the word enlightenment within the name, will we achieve Nirvana when we use this palette?
Will we be presented with this palette if we die and go to heaven?
Or will we have good karma when we use this palette?

The enlightenment palette features four eyeshadows and two blushes
The palette retails for RM209 at Laura Mercier’s counters

The palette itself has a brown packaging that looks like a small diary
The packaging is made of cardboard and the brown is from cloth enveloping the palette

This is a pic to give you an idea of the size of the palette
No my hands are not freaking huge
I think the palette itself looks cute but sleek at the same time
It doesn’t feel flimsy as well, which is a very good thing

This is the palette once you open it
The products are protected with a transparent plastic sheet that you can either choose to keep or throw away
I throw mine away because its just too annoying to me

The palette itself also contains a reasonable sized mirror that you can use for touch ups

The colors are gorgeous to look at
There are two blushes
Blushing and Awakening
Blushing is a deeper tone of pink with a minute amount of silver shimmer that gives you a glow while Awakening is a light toned muted pink that is matte

The four eye-shadows are Angelic, Grace, Pure Glow and Innocence (which most of us has lost)
Angelic is a light shimmery gold and does remind me of angels glow
Grace is a shimmery grey taupe
Pure glow is a shimmery light bronze
Innocence is a shimmery light champagne pink
All of the eye-shadows are shimmer colors and not matte

This is a swatch of all the colors of the palette
On the left is both the blushes, while the rest are the eye-shadows
The blushes are pigmented but not to the point of having too much pigment, while the eye-shadow are a dream to use
I am very satisfied with the quality of the products

This is a look that I created with the palette
I used Awakening on my cheekbones while Blushing is put on near my temples

This is how I used the eye-shadows
I used Pure Glow all over my lid, Angelic as my inner corner highlight, Grace for my outer corner and on my waterline and Innocence on my brow bone

Overall:
I like this palette but it is not my favorite eye & cheek palette. It is good for those who are looking for a palette that is good for the day time and a palette that is not hard to use

Unsponsored

That’s all for today

Love,
Evan Chang
